Lizzy's music journey began at the age of 5, when she learned to play the piano, reaching a pinnacle with lessons at the Houston Ethos School of Music under various professional private instructors in Texas. Active involvement in the Texas Music Theory Association during this time resulted in receiving two awards for her music theory test results.

Beginning guitar lessons at the age of 10, a significant chapter unfolded as she played, performed, and competed in classical guitar under the guidance of Andrea Cannon. Classical guitar, though challenging, proved to be immensely rewarding. Building on this foundation, she has since then delved into exploring other genres of the guitar.

Lizzy successfully completed an AP Music Theory course during her Sophomore year of high school. Additionally, she is Yorkville High School Varsity Choir and Madrigal Choir alumni- she spent 4 years in high school under the instruction of the incredible YHS Music Department with Mr. Hurty, Mrs. Morton, and Mr. Smith.

Lizzy's passion for music drives her mission to share this love with others. This is her fifth year teaching music, first at YPAC, and she has absolutely loved every moment! She is currently pursuing her B.Ed in Elementary Education, and is confident that both teaching and music will always be a major part of her life!
