RECREATIONAL CLASSES

Boppin Babies

Ages 3 Months - 2 Years with caretaker

A fun, energetic class for parents and their young toddlers focusing on gross motor skills and musicality. Children will learn how to participate in a group and take direction from a teacher. One parent is allowed to participate in the classroom. As each child develops differently, patience on the part of the parents, as well as the child is stressed.

Boppin Tots

Ages 2 - 4 Years Old

Tippy Toes & Tap

Ages 3 - 4 Years Old

In Tippy Toes and Tap, your 3-5 year old is a fun-filled combo class designed for young dancers to explore the fundamentals of ballet, tap, and jazz. Dancers will build coordination, musicality, and confidence through age-appropriate technique and creative movement. This class introduces basic positions and steps in ballet, rhythm and timing in tap, and expressive movement in jazz—all in one exciting and engaging class. Perfect for boys and girls ready to twirl, tap, and groove their way through dance.

Tumble Kids

Ages 4 - 7 Years Old

If your kid loves flipping, flopping, and jumping around then Tumble Kids could be what they're looking for! They'll continue to learn classroom etiquette and build relationships, while working on building core strength and flexibility. They'll build gross motor skills and continue to build skill such as forward rolls, backward rolls, bridges, and backbends. Kids will learn and grow in body awareness in a fun and positive classroom environment.

Combo Kids

Ages 5 - 7 Years Old

Kids who enjoy variety will love the Combo Kids class! They'll learn basic tap steps, dive into jazz technique, and continue building on the basics of ballet. A full hour allows for plenty of time to focus on those many skills while learning how to warm up their bodies and improve flexibility. Your child will also continue to learn classroom skills such as taking turns and leading with compassion. And here at YPAC they get so much more! It's different here. In taking this class they will build confidence, realize self worth, and grow as leaders.

TUMBLING CLASSES

Tumbling I/II

Ages 6-18 Years Old

This tumbling class is for beginners 8 and older to learn how to stretch and strengthen their bodies while building greater body awareness, learning healthy ways to stretch, and building skills such as cartwheels, bridges, backbends, forward rolls, backward rolls, and basic round-offs.

Tumbling III/IV

Ages 8-18 Years Old

This tumbling class is for intermediate-advanced tumblers 8 and older to stretch and strengthen their bodies while building greater body awareness and building skills such as walking backbends, round-offs, back and forward walk overs, aerials, and more.

TAP CLASSES

Tap II

Ages 5 - 12 Years Old

Tap is an upbeat and rhythmic class that teaches dancers how to use their feet like drums to create intricate sounds and patterns. Students will develop timing, coordination, and musicality as they learn fundamental tap steps, combinations, and terminology. This class is perfect for dancers who love to move with energy and precision, while exploring rhythm and sound in a fun, expressive way.

Tap III/IV

Ages 8 - 18 Years Old

Tap III/IV is an intermediate to advanced-level class designed for experienced tap dancers ready to tackle complex rhythms, intricate footwork, and dynamic combinations. This class emphasizes musicality, speed, clarity of sound, and performance quality, while incorporating elements of improvisation and layered choreography. Dancers will explore a variety of tap styles and be challenged to elevate both their technical precision and artistic expression.

JAZZ/CONTEMPORARY CLASSES

Jazz/Contemporary I

Ages 5 - 8 Years Old

This combination class will expand on dance techniques and includes a warm-up, a focus on proper stretching technique, and expansion into kicks, leaps, and turns. We will focus on various Jazz and Lyrical techniques.

Jazz/Contemporary II

Ages 8 - 18 Years Old

This combination class will expand on dance techniques and includes a warm-up, a focus on proper stretching technique, and expansion into kicks, leaps, and turns. We will focus on various Jazz and Lyrical techniques.

Jazz/Contemporary III/IV

Ages 8 - 18 Years Old

This combination class will expand on dance techniques and includes a warm-up, a focus on proper stretching technique, and expansion into kicks, leaps, and turns. We will focus on various Jazz and Lyrical techniques.

TECHNIQUE/ADDITIONAL CLASSES

Leaps & Turns I/II

Ages 8 - 18 Years Old

Leaps & Turns is a technique-focused class designed to help dancers improve their strength, flexibility, and control in the air and across the floor. This class breaks down proper execution of turns, jumps, and leaps commonly used in jazz, lyrical, and contemporary choreography. Dancers will build precision, balance, and dynamic movement quality while refining their overall performance skills. Perfect for students looking to level up their technique and enhance their stage presence.

Leaps & Turns III/IV

Ages 8 - 18 Years Old

Leaps & Turns is a technique-focused class designed to help dancers improve their strength, flexibility, and control in the air and across the floor. This class breaks down proper execution of turns, jumps, and leaps commonly used in jazz, lyrical, and contemporary choreography. Dancers will build precision, balance, and dynamic movement quality while refining their overall performance skills. Perfect for students looking to level up their technique and enhance their stage presence.

Musical Theatre Teen Technique

Ages 12 - 18 Years Old

Through this class, students will learn choreography to their favorite musical theatre songs, develop their acting skills while dancing, and build the skills required to nail dancing roles. This is a great class for teenage musical lovers who want to improve their dancing skills for auditions and dance-heavy roles!

Hip Hop III/IV

Ages 8 - 18 Years Old

We'll continue to build on the foundational steps and techniques of Hip Hop including body awareness and isolations, flexibility, and balance. We'll also be focusing on building a team culture and leading out in positivity as we work to learn and perfect performance routines. Hip Hop requires high energy, attention to detail, and focus as we work through the many creative movement styles of Hip Hop.

CONSERVATORY BALLET CLASSES

PreConservatory Ballet

Ages 4 - 7 Years Old

For the kid in your life that really wants to build classical ballet skills. They will learn a basic ballet barre warm up and will begin building on those foundational positions and steps while becoming more aware of body posture and positioning. They will work towards improving flexibility and body awareness, while exploring classical ballet movement. Your child will also continue to learn classroom skills such as taking turns and leading with compassion.

Conservatory 1 Ballet

Ages 8 - 12 Years Old

Ballet (Evaluation Required) is a technique-intensive class designed for dancers with prior ballet training who are ready for a more focused and challenging experience. Dancers will work on refining alignment, strength, flexibility, and artistry through barre, center, and across-the-floor combinations. Placement in this class requires a formal evaluation to ensure dancers are prepared for the level of discipline, vocabulary, and technical execution expected. Ideal for committed students seeking to advance their classical ballet foundation.

Conservatory 2 Ballet

Ages 9 - 18 Years Old

Ballet (Evaluation Required) is a technique-intensive class designed for dancers with prior ballet training who are ready for a more focused and challenging experience. Conservatory 4 Ballet Pointe

Ages 11 - 18 Years Old

Pointe is an advanced ballet class designed for dancers with strong technical foundations and the physical readiness to safely train en pointe. This class focuses on developing strength, balance, and control while executing classical ballet technique in pointe shoes. Dancers will work on proper alignment, articulation of the feet, and fluidity of movement through barre and center exercises. Instructor approval and a ballet evaluation are required for enrollment to ensure safety and readiness.

Conservatory Ballet PBT

Ages 4 - 18 Years Old

Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) is a cross-training program designed to help dancers improve core strength, alignment, stability, and muscle memory essential for strong ballet technique. Using exercise balls, resistance bands, and focused conditioning, dancers develop the body awareness and control needed to execute ballet movements safely and effectively. This class is an excellent supplement to ballet training and is highly recommended for dancers looking to enhance their performance, strength, and injury prevention.
