YPAC’s mission is to give every child access to the arts and The Collective takes that mission one step further. . . by intentionally coaching each child as an individual, and each team as a whole by building strong foundational principles that will aid in achieving goals both personal and collectively. As mentors, coaches and teachers our main focus is to partner with parents to raise well rounded, healthy, happy leaders who will take character, consistency, confidence and community into their everyday lives and unveil other leaders themselves. Whether their aspirations are to recreationally dance for fun, become professional artists, teach the next generation, or somewhere in between, we believe The Collective will guide them to think critically and contribute immensely to their communities through the vessel of the art of dance. We BRAVELY and collectively give back to communities in need for a better tomorrow.
The Collective dancers will be taught to hold to this belief first and foremost, while encouraged to master their technique and tell their story through performance.
The Collective is a community of dancers and families. Dancers in The Collective range in age from 5 to 18 and are ready to make achieving their personal best a priority. The Collective Parents are ready to invest in coaching and mentorship for their child beyond the classroom to make a lasting impact in their child’s future.
All members of The Collective including dancers and parents must fulfill their commitment to the community in four ways:
The Collective is YPAC's competitive dance team. Students in the Collective will dance in at least four competitions a year or up to seven competitions a year depending on their commitment level.
Students who audition for the collective will be split into groups based on age and skill. For example, students ages 5-7 will be put into our Petite group, and students ages 13-18 who excel in tap might be put into a teen tap group.
Dancers must be in one ensemble if they are in the Collective. From there, dancers can be in more ensembles, trios, duets, and solos based off their audition and commitment level.
