What to Bring

  • Black leotard and pink tights (skirts are permissible)

  • Ballet and pointe shoes (if applicable)

  • Hair neatly secured in a bun or out of the face

  • Water bottle, snacks, and lunch

  • Notebook for writing corrections

  • A positive attitude and your presence!

Schedule & Arrival Times

  • Students should arrive 10–15 minutes early based on their level and class time.

  • YPAC doors open at 8:30 AM.

  • Breaks and a 30-minute lunch are included.

Drop-Off or Stay?

  • This is a drop-off event. Faculty and staff will supervise dancers throughout the day.

  • Parents are invited back at the end of Saturday for a short showcase.

  • On Sunday, casting may require your dancer to stay longer. You’ll be notified based on their role.

Fee Schedule

  • Admin Fee: $100

    • Due April 12, 2025 (by auditions)

  • Choreography Fee: $125 - $500

    • Due July 2, 2025

  • Costume Fee: $100 (per dance)

    • Due September 10, 2025

  • Coaches Fee: $250

    • $50 Charged 1st of each month January - May

  • Competition/Convention fees: Competition costs will be charged the following days:

    • August 5 – Dupree Competition/Convention

    • August 23 – Ballet Experience/Nutcracker Production Fee ($195)

    • September 2 – 2nd Chance to Dance Competition

    • September 10 –  Collective Costume 

    • September 23 – Adrenaline Competition/Convention 

    • October 7 – NYCDA Competition/Convention

    • November 4 – Tribute Competition 

    • February 3 – Revive Competition/Convention

    • February 17 – Bloom Competition

Student Expectations

  • Arrive early, dressed in required attire with hair securely styled.

  • Prioritize team rehearsals and competitions above outside dance activities.

  • Dancers are expected to rehearse full-out and give their best effort during every practice.

  • Practice choreography and technique outside of rehearsal.

  • No talking while others are dancing. Dancers are expected to show respect for their fellow dancers and coaches at all times during rehearsals.

  • There is a zero tolerance policy for bullying.

  • Demonstrate respect for instructors, teammates, and adjudicators.

  • Represent YPAC with professionalism at all events and on social media.

  • Dancers should arrive at competitions on time, fully ready with hair and makeup done or enough time to finish hair and makeup before their stated arrival time.

Parent Expectations

  • Ensure attendance at all required rehearsals, classes, and performances.

  • Ensure that their dancer arrives at competitions at their stated arrival time ready to go.

  • Communicate absences in advance via the proper channel.

  • Stay informed through provided schedules and official communications.

  • Support your child's practice and preparation outside of YPAC.
